Ramadan Umrah 2027 from Pakistan
Ramadan is the most sought-after time of year for Umrah. Ramadan 1448 is expected to begin around 8 February 2027, subject to the moon sighting. This guide covers the dates, the permits and how to plan, with the Ramadan Umrah packages agencies list on Wonderlist.
Expected dates
Astronomical calculations put the start of Ramadan 1448 on Monday 8 February 2027, with Eid al-Fitr on 9 or 10 March 2027. These are early estimates: the actual start depends on the moon sighting and can move by a day.
Why Umrah in Ramadan
In a hadith reported by al-Bukhari and Muslim, the Prophet (peace be upon him) told a woman who had missed Hajj to perform Umrah in Ramadan, saying that Umrah in Ramadan is equal to Hajj in reward. Scholars explain that it does not replace the obligatory Hajj.
Permits
Performing Umrah in Masjid al-Haram needs a permit booked in the Nusuk app. Only one Umrah permit can be active at a time, and entry for Umrah is tied to the permit time, so book it for the day and time you plan to go. Praying in the Rawdah at the Prophet's Mosque needs its own permit.
Planning your trip
Check each package's dates against the expected start of Ramadan, and whether it covers the part of the month you want, such as the last ten nights. Look at the hotels in Makkah and Madinah, their distance from the Haram and the nights in each city.
On Wonderlist you can message an agency in the app before you book, or post a custom trip request with your dates and budget and let agencies send you proposals.
