Hajj from Pakistan: government and private schemes
Pilgrims from Pakistan go for Hajj through the Ministry of Religious Affairs, either under the government scheme or with a private Hajj operator. Wonderlist does not list Hajj packages at the moment; this guide explains how the process works, from the ministry's announcements.
The 2027–2030 Hajj policy
Pakistan's first four-year Hajj Policy and Plan covers 2027 to 2030 and replaces the yearly policy. Registration opened on 22 June 2026 through the online Hajj Portal and the Pak Hajj mobile app, and one registration covers any Hajj season up to 2030.
Government scheme
Registered applicants apply for government scheme places, which are allocated first come, first served. For Hajj 2027 the first instalment was collected digitally through the Hajj Digital Portal.
Private scheme
Under the private scheme you go with a private Hajj group operator. Before paying anyone, check with the Ministry of Religious Affairs that the operator is licensed.
The quota
Saudi Arabia sets each country's Hajj quota. Pakistan usually sends about 179,000 pilgrims a year, and the final number depends on the Saudi authorities.
